This marks my 3rd trip back to Portugal with WERIDE since 2018. The very 1st trip was about exploration and biking somewhere new. It was fast, flowy, and many good times (and laughs) were had. It was an amazing experience, but went by so quickly. Then, as I was still coming down off the high I was feeling, I started planning to get back here asap!This time, I came with my girlfriend. I wanted to slow things down outside of the biking. This 2nd trip was to get utterly lost in the culture. It would be a trip that would focus more on the authenticity of Portugal...it's people, cuisine, art and history. The biking that happened on the 2nd trip was amazing and I met many riders from many different countries and forged friendships that span the oceans...then just as we returned from this incredible journey, the world fell apart as we knew it. The pandemic struck and halted all our desires to return to this amazing country.Finally, after careful planning and without any more hesitation, we returned for this, our 2023 trip. Let me say, the wait did not disappoint...the trails were phenomenal and well cared for with a lot of new additions. The new guides are amazing, helpful, and know how to bring out the very best in your riding. Again, I met some new amazing riders from Germany, and as a single rider they welcomed me into their group with open arms...that's what biking does!I had the pleasure this year of receiving an extra treat. On my last day of riding, our group met up with the one and only Troy Lee. Troy was in town, brought along his awesome son Max, and we all crammed in the WERIDE Van with two of the best trail rippers in all of Portugal...Mel & Bonny (The Trail Dog Duo).Thanks for keeping our tires down, our spirits up and for all the surprises you keep giving us, WERIDE.ObrigadoWe'll see you next year!Michael
