Update Sept23:Our second visit for the 'Lunchtime Degustation Special' and we are delighted to report that despite real world inflation the cost remains at the 2022 price while the personal service and food quality remain exceptional. Most definitely our very best sushi experience in all of Portugal.Original review Oct22:Review of the 'Lunctime Degustation Special' @€25/person. €30 Executive Special also available with enhanced starter options.(Prices as at Oct22)Location only a 12minute walk from Albufeira Old town. Pleasant wood terrace seating area outside the restaurant with large parasols looked very inviting but we ate in and are glad we did as the decor and table dressings inside were very tastefully presented and the view of the preparation of the dishes greatly enhanced our experience.Service staff on the day was excellent with the complexity of the offer explained very clearly in excellent English. Basically the lunchtime special is a chefs starter followed by an eat-as-much etc selection from a freshly prepared chefs platter of recommendations. A quick but appreciated allergy and taste preference check was all that was required to get things started. No menu selections needed, everything that was to follow was at the chefs skillful handsThe starter was a fresh tangy citrus cerviche that melted in the mouth, a stunning start. We could witness the chef's painstakingly preparing the main platter with precision and care and once delivered it looked and tasted stunning. Eat as much as you like is broken into convenient 20 piece per person servings so as a table of four our initial platter was 80 pieces of sushi which included a bright eyed fish head that authenticated the freshness of the dishes.Every bite was delicious with the 80 pieces split down into about 10 different flavour profiles.After such an intense flavour experience we settled for a second 'half' platter of only another 40 pieces which we just about managed to finish without totally overindulging.Absolutely first class experience for the price point which would likely have blown the Bank if purchased al la carte so it's a massive thumbs up for the Prime Sushi Lunchtime Special from us.
