BAHR & Terrace
This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, from start to finish. I live in Manhattan and have had tons of wonderful dinners (Michelin star, etc.), but this likely tops them all. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation at the terrace and had wonderful drinks with striking views of the river.But dinner stole the show. We sat at the table closest to the kitchen and were treated to a show that was the staff preparing a dinner service. Incredible technique and a joy to watch the camaraderie of the whole staff. Bruno the head chef was one of the most amazing chefs + hosts I’ve ever dined with. He checked EVERY dish that went out and spent so much time walking us through every dish personally while telling us about personal anecdotes that got him to where he is today; such a personal and memorable experience.Then the food. The mushroom appetizer (forgot to take a picture) was literally one of the best things I’ve ever tried, and the beef tenderloin with onion purée was outrageous. Each dish that my family ordered was better than the next, though I’m slightly partial to my orders. We got 3 desserts, and while all were amazing the chocolate mousse was my favorite. The quality + presentation was that of at least a 1 Michelin star, but the prices were extremely reasonable - too reasonable, almost.They also have a fully vegan menu.You’d be doing yourself a disservice by not coming to this place during your trip to Lisbon; trust me.
