I found out about this place through Mark Wein's Lisbon guide and wanted to give this a try. We arrived 15 mins before 6:30 pm opening and there was a lineFood: very tasy, fresh, hot, and paid 16.44 Euro for whole chicken, rice, sausage and beans/vegetables - she would not take tips and this comment is consistent with other commentsService: this is a one person operation, all the cooking, preparing, payment is done by one person and had no idea beforehand. There was no coke zero or any ice but we did not mind as we had our own water bottle. I would not be expecting full service for 1 person to do all this work but what stood out was the will power, the conviction, the food quality, and her genuine love for cooking which made this place seem special.I have seen other comments on poor service levels and my comment is not take things too personally, we live once and should try and experience something new and to put aside the comments and to just order a chicken and try it while your still in Lisbon!
