Known for being the oldest bakery in Lisbon but I argue not for being one of the best. I don't think the building is as stunning as many claim it to be. The exterior is not much to marvel at and the interior is mostly boring renovation with a few exceptions, the stair case and the wood floors. The selection of pasties are ok but they mostly serve them cold and not fresh. You can dine in on the second floor and if you do, I would advise you to stay away from the brunch menu. You are better off choosing the things you want to eat (who needs 3 drinks?!) and it will cost way less. I also thought the service was a little strange. They would recommend items and we would order them and then they would come back and say they don't have that item today. I don't think this is a great sit down and enjoy your food place. The ambiance is just like any plain cafe. If you want to stop by and get a taste of this place, I would recommend you just order a pastry or two and just enjoy it at the bar tables down stairs or outside if it's not too chilly.
