Came here for a birthday meal. We had the smaller tasting menu, which was plenty of food. The food is very experimental, lots of unusual combinations, such as the dessert, which was mushroom ice cream with chocolate cake and a truffle caramel, which was strange on the first bite and then grows on you. Some dishes weren't to my liking, for example the pumpkin mousse with goats cheese foam. But we loved the little bite appetisers, the tuna, and the monkfish and caviar with cauliflower done several ways was EXCELLENT. Octopus risotto was a little too astringent and tasted more like a salad dressing than a risotto - the octopus flavour was completely lost among the strong sour risotto, unfortunately.The service, while I understand was supposed to be very attentive and while the staff were perfectly pleasant, was over the top. There was someone lingering too close at every point, and we didn't feel like it was a relaxed meal. A better balance needs to be made with regards to silver service vs customer comfort/privacy.This is a great place to eat if you enjoy experimental cooking.
