Banzé na petiscaria
Everything about this place was top notch. This is a bit off the tourist path but located near the hotel we were staying. We canceled a fancy dinner reservation and came here instead since it was close by and allowed a last minute reservation. I would go out of my way here either way just for the octopus entree. It was the most tender octopus I have ever had and had the flavors to match. I described it as butter when I took my first bite. My wife and I have tried octopus in several cities in Spain during several trips there and this was our fourth octopus dish here in Portugal, and this was our favorite by far. The seabass/robalo entree was also amazing, tender, flaky and I could tell the fish was fresh. It almost tasted like a same day fresh black sea bass for the US east coast folks...very yummy. The service was friendly and spoke multiple languages.
