Hotel Baía Grande

Nice hotel, not near the beach, badly needs refurbishing, there’s a complimentary shuttle bus to Albufeira town.Bedroom large, airy, balcony, view of the sea. Twin beds. TV, safe ($), fridge but no USB (or 110v) outlets, iron or coffee machine. The worst part is there’s no coffee or tea in the room (except perhaps via room service). No restaurants near hotel.Bathroom is dated but works; has bidet, the shaver outlet did not work. The shower is in a narrow tub, somewhat inconvenient even for a small person.Difficult to find the B’fast room, main entrance is closed, very noisy; poor acoustics. Reasonable variety, I think buffet breakfast is included in all rates. Rates with half board and full board available. No vegetarian options at the main restaurant per staff here. Generally poor staff service; they think they’re doing you a service by responding to your question or requestOutside Swimming pool, not heatedInside swimming pool is claustrophobic includes a sauna. Limited gym.
