Quinta do Catalão

Quinta de Catalão is a real down to earth retreat. The serene setting and quirky accommodations, create a perfect escape for nature enthusiasts or those who like a rustic camping style!The guy we spoke to on arrival was friendly, if a little absent from then on. It was a shame that breakfast wasn't available on-site, and that basics like coffee was a challenge to find/ make - I really need my caffeine in the morning!Be aware that everything is very spaced out, including the bathroom and kitchen, so it's probably not great if the weather isn't as good as it was for us. However, the open outdoor shower makes for a more interesting experience!Overall, the place is great if you want to prioritise natural beauty, staying in a fun shepherds hut, proximity to Luz, peace and quiet, and a characterful style.
