Quinta da Comporta Wellness Boutique Resort

The service in the restaurant was inattentive. We stayed for 3 nights and only after complaining at reception about our room did any of the waiting staff come to take an order without us having to look around and signal for attention. The cocktails weren't special.Our room had a broken bathroom door, a blocked coffee machine, a razor with hair on it in the amenities kit and you could hear the doors closing, toilet flushing, shower draining and conversation from the room above.We mention these issues and the door and coffee machine were fixed. There was also an apology. We felt a gesture of compensation would have been appropriate as this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, but there was none.In addition be careful when you visit - the view from the pool when we were there in April was of a large muddy field. Plenty of closely passing cyclists added to the general vibe of this hotel not being very special.
