Anthia Diving Center

I had a fantastic time doing the open water diver course with Anthia diving centre and have now picked up a great new hobby. The team their exude passion for diving and their enthusiasm really does enhance the experience.Looking back we covered a large volume of material over three days, though the pace felt just right. The tuition was fantastic, we all got plenty of instruction as the group sizes on each day were kept small.Alain was my main instructor, he was very encouraging. Skills which sound simple suddenly seem much more complex under water, but Alain was very patient with me. His positive attitude and encouragement really helped me to push through some of the exercises I found more difficult. Ultimately I was able to pass the course, thanks to the quality of instruction. I feel ready now to dive as a buddy, and the emphasis on the buddy systems was clear to see.Perhaps even more useful was Alain highlighting some areas to focus on for improvement (for me buoyancy and breath management). With this focus I can continue to improve across future fun dives.Visibility was a bit low on some of the dives but we still managed to see a good range of marine life ( several types of fish, sea cucumbers, octopus and sea urchins). I gather on clearer days people will see even more.I hope to one day return to this dive school to do some fun dives and possibly further training in the future. Though the world is big and there is so much to see so a reunion may have to wait for a while.I would absolutely recommend this dive school to anyone looking to take up SCUBA. I need to get a go pro now so I can get some good photos beneath the surface!
