Salty Experiences

I took a surf lesson in winter, it was low season and we were a small group of only three people. For me, that’s the only positive thing about my experience here.The instructor arrived 30 minutes late and was obviously not in the mood for teaching. He might be a good surfer, but he was lacking general teaching- an social skills. At the surf spot he kept on chatting with his friends, and they were even making fun of my failed attempts. He didn’t explain anything, nor did he give any instructions- and still he expected me (an absolute beginner) to know what to do and how to react. I felt uncomfortable from the very beginning and I was relieved when the lesson was finally over.
