Cepsa

This is the worst gas station I've ever been to. Absolutely overcrowded with cars and a huge queue at the counter inside. This is not because they are so popular but because they are nearby the car rental station of the Faro airport, so everyone goes here to refill their rental car before returning it. The thing is: their system is absolutely chaotic. You have to wait until you can drive up your car to one of the pumps. Then you have to walk inside to queue up at the counter where you must have a sophisticated guess as to how much fuel your car might need and what it might approximately cost. Then you have to pay your guessed amount in advance, walk back to your car and put the amount of fuel in that you have paid for. This can lead to two outcomes. Either your tank is not completely full, or your guess was too high and you have paid more fuel than you could squeeze in. In that case, you have to queue up again and claim back the money for the fuel you didn't use. Seriously, I have never seen anything like this in the world and I still can't believe I've witnessed this insanity with my own eyes today.
