Vila Origens Boutique Hotel Albufeira

From arrival to departure, Vila Origens surpassed all expectations. An oasis of calm behind closed doors.We were welcomed on arrival by the lovely Paulo, who instantly made us feel at home and patiently explained all we needed to know to get the most out of our stay.Swimming in the salt water pool every morning before breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day.We were served a generous and delicious breakfast, with a variety of healthy options that catered to our tastes, by a smiling Kiki, Vera or Ana.The immaculately clean room was perfect; a comfortable bed, excellent wi-fi and television channels, the use of a large fridge and a great shower with underfloor heating.Everywhere at Vila Origens is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. We learned that the Dutch owner is an artist and we certainly appreciated his art work, both in our room and in the health suite. The steam hamman was certainly the best we have ever experienced.Rui was everything one would want in a hotel manager, calm, kind and professional.All of the staff we encountered, including those whose names we didn't manage to learn, were smiling, friendly and obviously happy working with one another to provide exceptional service.Vila Origens is situated close to a whole host of places to eat and we tasted the best steak and burger ever at Porta 7 MFA restaurant, less than 10 mins walk away.Safe and free public parking is available a 10 min walk away and the Tourist Information office is literally around the corner. The staff there are incredibly helpful and we were able to buy a book to guide us on Algarve Walking trails. We highly recommend the Seven Hanging Valley's Trail for those of you who enjoy hiking and appreciate amazing and unique coastal scenery.Without a doubt, we will return, and sooner rather than later.Thank you to everyone at Vila Origens for such a memorable stay and what we are now calling our best holiday stay ever.
