I've hired plenty of cars over the years from a variety of cheap providers - generally done ok, as long as you know how to handle the inevitable attempts to fleece you.Have just come back from Portugal - and used Rentauto - encouraged by some unusually good reviews (how many of these companies get over 9.1 in reviews?!). Brilliant experience. They were the cheapest quote. Picked up at Lisbon, dropped off at Faro (no extra charge). Car upgraded to new Ford Focus estate, really clean and nice. Very polite and friendly reps. No fuss, 5 mins paperwork max at start - none at Faro. Cursory check (none of the fiddly trying to find a new scratch). Excellent - highly recommend.
