Tivoli Lagos Algarve Resort
Pro: Location was pretty central to old town, marina and shops (about 10-15min walk to everything). Hotel itself was clean. I stayed in a superior room and it was pretty spacious and adequate for my trip. Mattress and pillow was comfortable and it was lovely to receive a bottle of complimentary mineral water every day.Con:1) Charging for coffee pods seems unreasonable considering the room prices - this should be included for free.2) I wanted to eat some pasta i brought back from outside and asked the hotel staff if i could borrow a fork or if they had disposable cutlery. They said they would have to charge me for room service if i wanted to use a fork, which i think is ridiculous. I even offered to come down to the reception/the restaurant to collect it myself, which they said would make no difference. Perhaps you could ask guests for a fully refundable deposit if you're that concerned about cutlery being stolen, but to charge a non refundable fee for a fork is unreasonable.3) I had to call reception 3 times for shower gel and waited a whole day before this was provided. You should ensure these are sufficiently stocked in rooms prior to guests checking in.
