Grand Muthu Forte Da Oura

I hate to leave negative reviews, but I have to share a bad experience at this hotel.All that's good to say is that the location is pretty ideal, 5 mins walk to beaches and the strip.But here comes the negativity (sorry:/)Firstly, The entertainment here is the worst of any hotel I've ever been to. First 3 nights we were promised singers / entertainers and nothing at all showed up other than some music played on a speaker. Absolutely no entertainment for kids or anyone during the day. 'Kareoki night' consisted of a guy come in, say he was gonna do karaoke and it just... never started... And they played music on a speaker all night instead. It was just awful. The evening vibe was always very awkward and low amongst everyone that went out to the seating area.Secondly, the rooms. Our room was cleaned once maybe twice in the entire week we were there for no reason whatsoever. My uncles was on a different floor and also only cleaned I think twice. Our toilet roll wasn't refilled so we had to literally take our own from the supply cupboard that was always left unlocked. It's just so unacceptable from a hygiene point of view.Thirdly, food. What can I say, this opinion varies from person to person but the actual hotel food wasn't for me. If you book specific nights (Indian, chinese) etc, it's really good! I'd recommend that. But the hotel food is a meh. Also, the canteen isn't big enough for the amount of guests so most nights they were full and try to force you to go to a smaller outdoor restaurant around the corner.Finally, they don't explain anything! Usually in hotels they have leaflets for local things to do, people who come in and basically sell stuff, but it's so useful to know. They just have nothing here. We always found stuff to do on the last couple of days which would have been amazing to know and be told about earlier.The only light in the dark is that the reception staff are very kind and helpful. Same can't be said about some people in the dining room however who were very very uptight and we had our cutlery thrown onto our table one night by a staff member who was upset during a disagreement with a male colleague (who did seem very arrogant and uptight)Overall, we had a good week but ONLY because we are the kinda family that can make our own entertainment. From a hotel POV; I'd urge people to go elsewhere.
