Hotel Vila Galé Estoril

The location is just great, very close to the beach, beautiful view of the ocean from the top floor. It takes about 5 minutes by taxi or about a 30 minutes walk (via beautiful beach promenade) to get to the center of Cascais, which is more than reasonable. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and ready to help out. The pool was a very nice bonus as well.However, I did not enjoy the breakfast. The coffee machine made hot cocoa instead of cappuccino (twice, so I know it's not my error) and then broke down on day 3. They had a person to cook eggs (omelette or poached) to order, but it seemed like they forgot to teach the person to actually cook, I feel sorry for them to be honest, they seemed to try their best, but the eggs were undercooked and flavorless. In addition, the rooms felt a bit dated and walls could be a bit thicker.So while some things could use improvement, it's an overall alright place and I enjoyed my stay.
