O Frade
We landed there at 6:30pm wanting dinner, only to be told after we were given the menu and made our choices that they were closed for dinner service, this should be posted or at the very least told to us by the staff. After hearing they were closed for dinner we panicked and order an 11 euro cheese plate since we already opened the bottle of water, when the cheese plate came it was so small it was almost laughable. It wasn’t until after we payed for the meal that the waiter told us we should come back for dinner sometime and that dinner service starts at 7:30, if we have known that at the beginning we may have stuck around. We wouldn’t have tipped however, gratuity was included in the bill, this is the first restaurant in our 7 days in Portugal that gratuity was includedat the end of the day, we feel like this spot it over priced and a tourist trap, don’t fall for it, you can get much better food and service for a fraction of the cost elsewhere,To the establishment owners : post the dinner time or ensure your staff are vocal about it to avoid coming across as a tourist trap just trying to get butts into chairs.
