Best cocktail bar in Albufeira … and I drink a lot of good cocktails …Sal Rosa - Found this place by accident wandering past. It’s a haven, only a stones throw away from the loud, neon, harassing main square in the Old Town. It’s completely peaceful with its beach and sea view. Sal Rosa means Pink Salt …Pink Salt - With an open front towards the sea and an open roof (both can be closed in bad weather), it’s an old building which has been tastefully decorated with pretty tea lamps at night, accompanied by traditional soothing Portuguese music at a low level. Its split in two with the front being cosy and authentic whereas the back has the sea view. It’s a romantic place but being high up on a cliff, only two tables actually get to overlook the beach down below, with the others in the back getting a seascape.Cocktails - Taking all the athletics away, it’s a cocktail bar and I’d say probably the best in Albufeira. It’s got an extensive cocktail menu with the majority coming in a specific glass or unique ceramic ornate thing! All of the ingredients are clearly marked out so it’s easy for vegetarians and vegans to select cruelty free cocktails. We had a couple cocktails and they were made, presented and tasted perfect.Food - there are 2 set tapas plates: Tapas Mar - sea food, and Tapas Sal - cheese. Nothing for vegans, but it’s an offering really and not a food place.At €28 for 2 cocktails it’s not cheap, but If you want a well made cocktail in a hip and cool place, and still want that ‘I’m actuallyIn Portugal feel’, then this is the place to go …(Took a star off for cost and no vegan tapas)
